Dear Ella,
Happy Birthday! Today you are one month old. Sweet girl, how
you have changed our lives! In your short time here you’ve taught me that not
sleeping through the night and drinking cold coffee are small prices to pay
compared to having you in our lives.
Ella, you are so loved by your daddy and me. You are so loved by your grandma, your
grandpa, your aunts, your uncle, your pop-pop, and your great aunts and uncle. You’ve received so many beautiful and
thoughtful gifts from people near and far. You are such a lucky girl that so
many people love and care about you.
The first week we brought you home you were an angel
baby. This was a really good thing
because I didn’t feel so well and your daddy had to take care of the both of
us. I couldn’t even walk around with you the first two days we were home. We spent the
first few nights having a slumber party in the living room before we moved
upstairs into mommy and daddy’s room. You spent your days eating and sleeping
and getting loved on! There wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t not have any visitors. {I told you that you
were loved}!!
The next few weeks you became upset sometimes when we were
feeding you. You didn’t want to take your bottle and you were extremely fussy. We
finally figured out that you have reflux and you need special formula and
medicine twice a day. Now that we have that sorted out you are an angel baby most of the time :)
In your first month of life you went to the Farmer’s Market,
the mall, Evesham’s Fall Festival, Whole Foods, Buy Buy Baby, Panera, Target,
your grandpa’s, your 2nd cousin Kyle’s, and on lots of walks. We had
our first sleepover at Grandma’s house when your daddy went to a bachelor party
in Atlantic City.
You weighed in at 9 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 22 inches
at your one-month check-up. You got your second Hepatitis B vaccine and took it
like a champ, although you did get a slight fever later that night.
Ella, we are so in love with you. Thank you for making me a
mommy. You are our biggest blessing.
I love you, sweet girl.
Love,
Mommy
